The intern will perform nuclear medicine procedures on a diverse patient population under the supervision of a technologist. Responsibilities include completing baseline training and applying textbook and journal knowledge to technical procedures.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program with an associate degree. Registry certification from ARRT or NMTCB must be obtained within two years of employment.
Under supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist, the intern will perform all assigned nuclear medicine procedures on adult, geriatric, pediatric and adolescent patients. The intern will also be responsible for completing all baseline training for areas assigned to include baseline knowledge of textbook and journal material. Under supervision, the intern will perform various technical procedures which require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed services.
• Prefer vocational training in an allied health profession (i.e., EMTs, CMAs, or RAIs) with one (1) year of work experience.
