Perform specialized breast X-ray examinations to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of breast cancer while ensuring patient safety. Maintain equipment quality control and adhere to strict regulatory and hospital protocols.
Requires completion of an accredited 2-year Radiologic Technology program and ARRT-R certification with an Ohio state license. Must be able to obtain ARRT-M certification within one year and possess basic life support certification.
Completion of an accredited 2-year program in a school of Radiologic Technology (Required) Work Experience 1+ years Registered X-ray technologist with at least one year experience preferred (Preferred) 1+ years Registered Mammography technologist with less than two years of experience (Required) 1+ years Proficient at instructing students and new staff after one year experience (Required) less than 1 year Clear knowledge of modality specific equipment computers, pacs, EMR and RIS (Required) less than 1 year Must demonstrate ability to work independently (Required) less than 1 year Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise (Required) less than 1 year Clear knowledge of imaging and exam protocols (Required) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of X-Ray unit, computers, wheel chairs, O2 tanks, immobilization devices, PACS and radiology information system. (Required proficiency) Ability to operate mammography equipment. (Required proficiency) Knowledge of QC and MQSA standards.
