The RN is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, documentation, and the initiation of care plans. Additionally, the role involves acting as a charge nurse and resource person for staff orientation and teaching.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current Massachusetts RN license and BLS certification. Experience in an acute care Med/Surg facility within the last two years is required, while a BSN and ACLS are preferred.
