The PCT/CNA provides safe basic care to patients, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with daily living activities. They are also responsible for specimen collection, patient observation, and maintaining accurate patient charts.
A CNA certification and AHA BLS certification are required or preferred. Candidates should ideally have a high school diploma and 6 months of experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
$2.50/hour for shift differential
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Required qualifications: CNA – Certified Nursing Assistant preferred CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
