The Medical Technologist is responsible for the efficient and accurate analysis of clinical specimens to ensure quality patient care. This includes managing day-to-day technical laboratory operations and resolving technical issues using critical thinking.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related science or an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, along with 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience. Candidates must be ASCP eligible and possess proven knowledge of Chemistry, Hematology, and regulatory standards like CAP and CLIA.
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or related science OR Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required for Technician candidates 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing Clinical rotations from an accredited institution ASCP eligible Proven knowledge and skills to perform procedures in Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to deliver organized and concise presentations tailored to audience Proven excellent time management skills- ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to efficiently manage lab operations Ability to implement change in a positive, sensitive, and forward- thinking manner Ability to collaborate and promote teamwork Demonstrated positive, can-do attitude coupled with a sense of urgency Ability to create a trusting, positive, and supportive work environment Ability to operate in high-pressure situations Proven knowledge of quality control, quality assurance principles and proficiency testing procedures relating to waived testing Proven knowledge of CAP, and CLIA regulations related to work area Proven superb attention to details Proven excellent customer service skills, business etiquette, able to adhere to professional standards Demonstrated practical knowledge of routine laboratory equipment and procedures Valid driver’s license
