The Mammographer is under the direct supervision of the Clinical Lead.
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing high quality diagnostic procedures in the Mammography department in an efficient manner according to protocol and the physician’s order. The technologist works effectively with patients and physicians and maintains cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.

Job responsibilities require a considerable amount of physical work. The individual will be required to assist with lifting and moving patients, pushing of carts, wheelchairs, and other equipment; and lifting or pushing of up to 300 pounds. Workday requires frequent walking, stooping, bending, and moderate degrees of stooping and repetitive hand and wrist movement. Work requires dexterity, hand/eye coordination, and physical ability to push and operate medical equipment. The individual must also be able to maneuver throughout the halls, stairways, and patient rooms in response to hospital emergencies.
