The technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing hoods and preparing medications and labels for oncology patients. They must also monitor and maintain drug inventory levels based on the Master Daily Schedule.
A high school diploma is required, while a Certified Pharmacy Technician license and previous infusion pharmacy experience are preferred. Candidates must be able to work independently in a high-stress, high-volume environment.
University Cancer & Blood Center is hiring a full time Float Infusion Pharmacy Technician for our Medical Oncology Clinics. Hours will vary based on location. Position is based in our Athens location. Travel to our satellite sites will be required, to help with increased treatment volumes, PTO, and call-outs. Job Duties include: Clean/sanitize hoods for daily mixing Prepare medications, premeds, and accompanying labels as necessary. Maintain drug inventory levels at 3 days or less, based on Master Daily Schedule and nurses schedule. Monitor inventory and make necessary adjustments. Restock supplies for mixing area.
