The Triage Coordinator performs initial assessments of incoming patients, including obtaining vitals and determining urgency. They act as a liaison between clients and the medical team to facilitate the intake process and provide patient updates.

Description Partner Veterinary is looking for a Triage Coordinator to join our Richmond, VA team! What does your day look like at Partner?

The Triage Coordinator will perform initial assessments for incoming patients by obtaining vital signs, a brief history, and level of urgency.

This position will communicate with both the client and medical team to facilitate the intake process.

The Triage Coordinator will act as a liason by maintaining client communication with patient updates.

Due to the nature of a busy emergency department, the Triage Coordinator will need to balance multiple cases at a time, regularly assessing patient and hospital status.

Ongoing and fluid communication is critical to success in this role.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience in an emergency or critical care setting LVT or experienced Veterinary Assistant preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of common emergent conditions such as urethral obstruction, hemoabdomen, congestive heart failure, HGE, etc. Exposure to, or knowledge of Fear-Free techniques and philosophies preferred A curious and motivated energy Interest in collaborating with the teams across the Partner network Physical Requirements: Ability to quickly process, analyze, and react to unplanned and emergent medical situations without delay, so as to ensure the safety of team members and patients Ability to stand for up to 12 hours with limited breaks Able to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance Our core values: Reimagine Empower Community Care About us:
