The OR team seeks a skilled RN who can circulate across multiple service lines in a short-term acute care setting. This travel assignment requires the ability to float to ancillary units when needed, with on-call coverage possible during the assignment. Orientation is provided to help you integrate quickly into the perioperative team.

• $1,955-$2,014 per week

• Shift: 4x9 Days (36 hours per week)

• On-call/on-site coverage may be required during some shifts
• Orientation: approximately 3 days
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with multiple service lines

Responsibilities

• Circulate during perioperative cases across orthopedic, general surgery, urology, ENT, GI, spine, ophthalmology, and podiatry procedures
• Maintain sterile technique, manage instrument readiness, counts, and overall OR workflow
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers; monitor patient status and safety throughout the procedure
• Float to other units as needed; coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team and ensure smooth handoffs
• Provide patient and family education regarding perioperative care, expectations, and recovery processes
• Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols; document perioperative care and patient outcomes

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Professional Nurse license - 2 years of OR experience; OR circulator experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS (through AHA/RQI); stroke certification preferred
• Ability to work in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital environment and to float to multiple service lines
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability; ability to work independently as the sole OR RN on call when required
