Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care for a group of patients during a designated shift, using the nursing process and aligning with the medical plan of care, with input from patients and significant others
• Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate delivery of care for patients of all ages as assigned (age range depends on unit)
• Provide teaching and discharge planning integrated into the overall plan of care
• Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other licensed and unlicensed staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient record and ensure safety, quality, and compliance with standards of practice

Requirements

• Active RN license in California
• Ability to care for patients across the age spectrum as assigned (per unit)
• Willingness to work 12-hour daytime shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• Oncology or acute care nursing interest; ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
