Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging procedures to aid in diagnosis of disease and injury.
Independently cover XR and CT modalities during assigned shifts, including general radiography and CT imaging, patient positioning, and documentation.
Administer contrast per site-specific protocols within scope of practice; complete CT contrast consent documentation when applicable.
Review provider orders for appropriateness; coordinate with ordering providers and radiologists; evaluate images for technical quality.
Maintain radiation safety practices and use protective equipment; assist with patient transport and positioning, including transfers with wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds.
Document accurately in the electronic health record; follow National Patient Safety Goals and use at least two patient identifiers; maintain patient confidentiality.
Requirements
Current ARRT Radiography registry
Current ARRT CT registry
Current AHA BLS certification for healthcare providers
Experience performing both X-Ray and CT exams
Cerner experience required
Three or more years of clinical imaging experience
Ability to work independently on weekend night shifts
Basic computer skills and experience with electronic health records
