Overview Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) in Rochester, New York. Start date: 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,094 to $2,115.

Shift

12-hour days with approximately 36 hours per week. work setting: hospital OR, travel temporary assignment. Primarily Monday–Friday days with on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub and circulating nursing care in the ophthalmology operating room, supporting procedures across ages
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient perioperative care
• Prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and manage instrumentation during cataract, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatric cases
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively, assist with positioning, documentation, and turnover between cases
• Participate in patient safety initiatives and infection control practices
• Maintain on-call coverage for evenings, nights, and weekends as required

Requirements

• Active RN license in New York state
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Two (2) years of operating room experience; Level 1 trauma hospital experience highly desired
• Ability to scrub and circulate
• Experience with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics
• ACLS certification preferred
• Education: RN licensure in NY (no specific degree specified)
