Responsibilities

• Administer moderate conscious sedation in the procedural area under physician supervision; monitor cardiorespiratory status and patient comfort
• Circulate as needed when not providing moderate sedation; assist the physician and procedural team to maintain safety and efficiency
• Telemetry monitoring and rapid response to changes in patient status during peri-procedural care
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiology/critical care staff, and bedside teams to ensure privacy, safety, and quality of care
• Maintain meticulous documentation of sedation, vitals, medications, and intraoperative events; ensure proper turnover and handoff
• Ensure readiness of equipment and adherence to sterile technique and infection control practices

Requirements

• Current New York RN license (active)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Moderate Sedation experience required
• Interventional radiology (IR) experience required
• Telemetry experience; Circulate-only capability when not sedating
• Two (2) years of relevant RN experience; OR experience in a Level 1 trauma setting highly desired
• Ability to work in a fast-paced procedural area and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
