Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
  • Assess patient status, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
  • Administer medications, monitor for adverse effects, and adjust treatments under physician direction.
  • Monitor and record patient vitals, laboratory results, and clinical data; respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
  • Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; mentor and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient safety, infection control, and confidentiality throughout the care process.
  • Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and collaboration to optimize patient outcomes in a high-acuity ICU setting.

Requirements

  • Active California RN license
  • ICU/critical care experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3 nights per week)
  • Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate care with nursing staff and other disciplines
