Responsibilities

• Implement and supervise therapeutic activities under the direction of a licensed PT, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, ROM, and functional mobility.
• Assist with the development, progression, and management of individual treatment plans of care for residents.
• Apply modalities and manual techniques as delegated by the supervising PT, and monitor patient response.
• Document patient progress, adjustments to treatment, and time spent on services in the patient record; maintain accurate, timely notes.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, coordinated care; promote safety, infection control, and resident well-being.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Hampshire or eligible per state requirements.
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification or as required by employer.
• Prior clinical experience as a PTA; preferred in long-term care or geriatric rehabilitation.
• Ability to work in a long-term care/assisted living setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
