Guaranteed hours: 0.0 This travel assignment takes place in a short-term acute care hospital setting. Office hours are typically 7:00 am–5:00 pm with shifts that may start at different times during the day. Responsibilities

Conduct initial PT evaluations and ongoing reassessments; develop and implement evidence-based plans of care for adult inpatients and home health patients per physician orders.
Administer and progress PT interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, transfer and position techniques, ROM, and manual therapy as appropriate within scope.
Monitor patient responses, document progress in the medical record, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team; ensure timely, accurate charting and compliance with privacy regulations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and staff to support discharge planning and safe transitions of care; provide patient and family education on exercises, safety, and home programs.
Participate in weekend inpatient duties on a rotating basis (every 5–7 weeks) and support IP coverage as needed; no on-call requirement.

Requirements

Active Physical Therapist license in California
BLS certification
Women’s health experience and/or certification or currently working toward PRPC or WCS - 3–5 years of PT experience preferred
Ability to work in an inpatient acute care setting and participate in weekend coverage as required
