Responsibilities

• Perform specialized breast imaging examinations (mammography) to aid diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
• Operate dedicated mammography equipment and ensure high-quality, diagnostic images.
• Position patients, verify safety, and apply radiation safety principles to protect patients and staff.
• Ensure proper documentation, patient prep, and adherence to department protocols and QA measures.
• Communicate with radiologists and the care team; provide patient-centered care and explain procedures.
• Maintain equipment, oversee routine quality checks, and support workflow efficiency in the imaging area.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• Active California Radiologic Technologist license or eligibility
• ARRT (Radiography) certification or eligibility
• Mammography certification or ability to obtain during assignment
• Ability to perform breast imaging exams and operate related equipment
• Strong patient-care and communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced imaging environment
