Provide trauma-informed support and resource navigation for women impacted by substance use disorder and the criminal justice system. Develop wellness plans and maintain relationships with community partners to coordinate care and educational services.
Requires lived experience with substance use disorder and criminal justice involvement, along with a high school diploma or a non-behavioral science bachelor's degree. Must obtain Recovery Coach Academy certification within 60 days of hire.
North Suffolk is looking for a Recovery Support Navigator/Family Advocate to join our team! The Navigator will offer trauma-informed support, resources, and referrals to women impacted by substance use disorder and the criminal justice system. This position requires a staff member with prior criminal justice involvement and lived experience from substance use disorder to empower women and their families. The Navigator will possess experience with accessing community resources, behavioral health systems, and court-related processes, while providing compassionate and nonjudgmental assistance.
36 hours per week. Some nights and weekends required.
