Evaluate and treat residents to improve mobility, strength, and functional independence through individualized rehabilitation plans. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff for comprehensive resident care.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program with a current and active California Physical Therapist license. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to resident confidentiality and rights.
Clinical Excellence: Evaluate residents to determine physical therapy needs, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential in accordance with physician orders. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized plans focused on improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Supervision & Training: Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and assist the nursing department with the training of Restorative Aides.
Communicate regularly with physicians, nursing staff, and families regarding progress, goals, and discharge planning.
Current and active California Physical Therapist license (or eligibility for new grads).
Ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, and professional colleagues.
