The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process for diverse patient populations, including psychiatric and substance abuse patients. They ensure a comprehensive approach to care by applying psychiatric nursing theories and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited professional vocational school of nursing and hold a current nursing license in New Mexico or a compact state. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred.
