Provide professional nursing care to mentally ill patients on an assigned unit and serve as a designated lead worker. Coordinate with clinical and medical staff to ensure a safe, therapeutic, and sanitary environment for patient care.
Requires a valid Illinois Registered Nurse license and a degree in nursing (Associate with 2 years experience, Bachelor with 1 year, or Master's). Must be able to pass background checks, drug screens, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requires (a) graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate or diploma degree in nursing and two (2) years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience OR (b) a bachelor’s degree in nursing and one (1) year of professional nursing experience OR (c) a master’s degree in nursing. Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Requires the ability to work after business hours, weekends and holidays on a rotation basis. Requires the ability to serve on an on-call basis. Requires the ability to utilize office equipment, including personal computers and basic computer skills. Requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Requires ability to acquire and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate. Requires the ability to physically restrain patients as necessary to prevent injury to patient or others. Requires ability to travel in the performance of job duties. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
