The technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments. They ensure patient safety by adhering to medical center policies and regulatory standards for sterile reprocessing.
Requires completion of an approved Sterile Processing Tech program and certification through CRCST-HSPA or CBSPD. A minimum of one year of sterile processing experience, preferably in a hospital setting, is required.
