Job Description

The Work: Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. You Have: Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Required within one year from the date of graduation from a cardiac ultrasound program Have 1 or more year of previous experience in a hospital setting preferred Have solid computer skills including prior use of EMR (electronic medical records) Be detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. Compensation Information: $35.00 - $61.25

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
