The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs respiratory assessments, therapeutic treatments, and evaluations for all patient populations. They coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to ensure a high-quality patient experience and maintain compliance with Ohio Respiratory Care Laws.
Candidates must hold an Associate degree in Respiratory Care and a valid Ohio Respiratory Care License along with NBRC credentials. BLS and ACLS certifications are required within 90 days, with PALS or NRP required within 6 months.
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RRT is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RRT will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote a great patient experience. The RRT is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
