The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care for adolescents in a behavioral health setting, coordinating treatment plans within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include managing patient care on a shift basis, initiating restraints or seclusion when necessary, and assuming Charge Nurse duties.
Candidates must have an Associate Degree in Nursing and a current Florida nursing license, with a Bachelor's degree and psychiatric experience preferred. Additional requirements include CPR/BLS certification, the ability to pass a Level 2 background screening, and physical agility to manage patients in crisis.
Suncoast Behavioral Health Center provides quality mental health care and education services for adolescents, ages 11–17 who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, educational, family and social challenges. The dedicated professionals at Suncoast Behavioral Health Center provide quality mental health treatment for children. The program establishes healthy behaviors and prepares children to transition back home.
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing preferred.
Current license to practice nursing in Florida (or eligible to receive or renew) required.
