Support pharmacists by maintaining automated dispensing machine stock levels and distributing medications to inpatient units. Responsibilities include preparing sterile products, IV admixtures, and ensuring proper drug storage and stability.
Requires a high school diploma and current CT Pharmacy Technician state registration. National PTCB certification is required within one year of hire, with hospital or retail experience preferred.
Minimum high school graduate or equivalent. Completion of a hospital-based, community college or military technician training program preferable National certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)--if not already obtained-- is required within 1 year of Date of Hire CT Pharmacy Technician state registration must be current; or registration as a Pharmacy Intern and actively enrolled in a school of pharmacy program.
