Must hold a current South Carolina Dental Hygiene license and CPR/BLS certification. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of hygiene procedures and experience with digital radiography and electronic records is preferred.

Southern Smiles Dental Studio is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in Columbia, SC. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene assessments and periodontal evaluations Provide preventive dental care, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance Take and review digital radiographs Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment recommendations Document patient treatment and clinical findings accurately and thoroughly Assist in identifying and communicating treatment needs to patients Collaborate with dentists and team members to deliver exceptional patient care Maintain compliance with infection control, sterilization, and OSHA protocols Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are properly prepared and maintained Build positive relationships that promote patient comfort, trust, and long-term oral health Qualifications Current South Carolina Dental Hygiene license in good standing CPR/BLS certification Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, instruments, and patient care protocols Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality patient care Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records preferred Positive attitude, professionalism, and commitment to teamwork
