The technician is responsible for cleaning, organizing, and wrapping surgical instruments and supplies to ensure proper sterilization and disinfection. They support the surgical environment by maintaining anesthesia delivery systems and following aseptic techniques.
Candidates must have BLS certification and knowledge of anesthesia delivery systems and aseptic techniques. A high school diploma and membership in the American Society of Anesthesiology Technicians/Technologists are preferred.
Your Role on the Team
Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, the Central Supply Instrument Technician cares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing and wrapping them in approved manner conducive to sterilization and disinfection techniques.

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Knowledge of the surgical environment and aseptic technique. BLS certification Knowledge of preparation and use of anesthesia delivery systems.
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms High School Diploma or equivalent Membership of the American Society of Anesthesiology Technicians/Technologists.
