Hamden, CT 06518This position is a full time, in person position. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures, making it essential for candidates to have experience in various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and hospital medicine. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with medical coding standards (ICD coding) Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and coordinating referrals

Requirements

Candidates must have prior experience as a Medical Assistant and proficiency in EHR systems and BLS protocols. Knowledge of ENT, Allergy, and Asthma is desired but not required.
