The eClinical Pharmacist reviews prescriptions and analyzes drug therapy to coordinate high-quality pharmaceutical services. They regularly consult with medical staff and nursing personnel to ensure appropriate patient care across various age groups.
Requires a Pharmacist license, with a PharmD and PGY1 residency preferred. Candidates should ideally have 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience and board certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties.
H-1B sponsorship is not offered for this opening(s). This position will offer remote work to the incumbent who resides within 65 miles of an OSF location. This remote work schedule is subject to change and is at discretion of pharmacy leadership.
The eClinical Pharmacist reviews prescriptions, obtains clarifications, analyzes drug therapy and regularly consults with medical staff, nursing personnel and others in order to coordinate delivery of high quality pharmaceutical services to OSF HealthCare patients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) Pharmacy Practice PGY1 residency Experience: 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience serving a variety of patient types Licensure/Certification: Board Certification through Board of Pharmacy Specialties Other requirements/information: Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and various other OSF HealthCare personnel when explaining medication use and gathering and exchanging other medication information. Analytical skills necessary in order to determine drug appropriateness and evaluate drug interactions. Demonstrated skills in independent problem solving, decision‑making abilities, and prioritization/delegation. Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.
