Perform both clinical and administrative duties to support the delivery of health care and patient care activities. Responsibilities include managing front office functions and providing clerical support within the oncology practice.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least six months of experience with computers and clinical healthcare settings. Alternatively, completion of a Medical Assistant Program or the OSF Prime Path Bridge Program is acceptable.
Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. Works in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice providing clerical and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. The Medical Office Assistant performs duties in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
