Responsibilities
- The Trauma Surgeon is accountable to the Medical Director, Trauma Program for providing trauma and acute surgery coverage consistent with the standards of care of Garnet Health Medical Center.
- The Trauma Surgeon will use a variety of skills to educate, consult and manage the surgical patient population and assist the patient/family, the patient care team and other physicians and providers.
- The Trauma Surgeon will work collaboratively with the health care team including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, anesthesiologists, other physicians involved in the surgical patient care, nurses, case management, physical and occupational therapy and with departments affecting the care of the surgical patient.
- The Trauma Surgeon will act as a clinical educator working with staff on surgical competencies, new procedures and advanced practice skills.
- The Trauma Surgeon will work with the care team to implement necessary medical aspects of patient care.
- The Surgeon will use these skills to affect a quality patient experience.

- The range for the role is $444,422 through $493,973 annually.

- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy.
