• Hours: 7pm - 7:30am Every 3rd Weekend Required Every Other Holiday Required Sign-On Bonus Eligible Shift and Weekend Differential Pay Eligible Department Summary 4 EAST is the medical-surgical unit which provides care to adults who are hospitalized with a wide variety of conditions, including pneumonia, stroke, and fractures. We also see behavioral health patients and serve the hospice population. Our team also prepares patients for surgical procedures and provides post-surgical care required until the time of discharge. The Medical Surgical floor has the ability to care for 25 patients requiring telemetry. The goals of the medical surgical unit staff are to provide efficient, quality, individualized and comprehensive nursing care to all patients. General Summary Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
