The Anesthesiologist is responsible for conducting pre-surgical evaluations and developing individualized anesthesia plans. They administer and monitor anesthesia during procedures and oversee patient recovery to ensure optimal outcomes.
Candidates must hold an M.D. or D.O. degree, complete an accredited residency, and possess board certification in Anesthesiology and Pediatrics. A valid Nevada State Medical License and at least three years of clinical practice experience are required.
We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive anesthesia care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The Anesthesiologist is responsible for evaluating patients prior to surgery, reviewing medical histories, medications, and potential risk factors, and developing individualized anesthesia plans to ensure safe and effective patient care throughout the perioperative process.
Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations, including review of medical history, medications, allergies, and diagnostic results. Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements. Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for a variety of surgical and procedural cases. Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and adjust anesthesia plans as clinically indicated. Manage airway, cardiovascular, respiratory, and pain control needs during procedures. Provide post-anesthesia assessment and oversee patient recovery from anesthesia. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Respond effectively to emergency situations and anesthesia-related complications. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards of practice.
Education & Experience Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency program. Minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice experience in Anesthesiology. Board Certified in Anesthesiology. Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology. Board Certification in Pediatrics. Licensure & Certification Active and unrestricted Nevada State Medical License. Nevada State Pharmacy Board License to prescribe medications. DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
