Market context

California hand surgery roles are highly specialized

In California, orthopedic hand surgeon openings are typically driven by high demand for upper-extremity care across hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and specialty practices. These roles are competitive because employers usually want a medical degree, orthopedic surgery residency, hand fellowship training, and an active California license, with board eligibility or certification in orthopedic surgery and hand surgery. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm licensure, fellowship details, and case mix before applying.
