Hematology Oncology Associates of the Treasure Coast (HOATC) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Nurse to administer non-chemotherapy infusion therapies in a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment. The Infusion Nurse is responsible for assessing patients, initiating and monitoring intravenous therapies, educating patients and caregivers, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality clinical outcomes. This position involves administering a variety of specialty medications and hydration therapies, excluding chemotherapy treatments. Key Responsibilities Administer prescribed non-chemotherapy intravenous infusion therapies, injections, and hydration treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Assess patients prior to treatment, including vital signs, medication review, allergies, and infusion readiness. Start and maintain peripheral IV access and manage vascular access devices as appropriate. Monitor patients during and after infusions for adverse reactions or complications and respond appropriately in emergency situations. Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medication side effects, and post-infusion care. Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, medication administration, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR). Maintain compliance with infection control standards, safety protocols, and nursing best practices. Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain infusion supplies, medications, and equipment according to clinic policies and regulatory standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing clinical education. Qualifications Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN preferred). Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience; infusion therapy experience preferred. Strong IV insertion and venipuncture skills required. Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Experience with specialty infusions, biologics, hydration therapy, immunotherapy, or chronic disease management preferred. Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
