Recovery Syndicate is hiring a Peer and Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) to support individuals working through substance use, mental health, and co-occurring challenges. This is a meaningful, hands-on role for someone with lived recovery experience who wants to use their story to bring hope, encouragement, and real support to others. As a PRSS, you will help clients stay engaged in treatment, build confidence, connect with resources, and take steps toward long-term recovery. We are hiring for full-time, part-time, and flexible schedules, including day, evening, and weekend availability. What You’ll Do Provide compassionate, judgment-free peer support to clients in recovery. Use lived experience appropriately to build trust, inspire hope, and encourage progress. Help clients set recovery goals, develop life skills, and build healthy coping strategies. Connect clients with community resources, including housing, employment, healthcare, benefits, transportation, and recovery support. Encourage clients to stay engaged in treatment and complete their program. Lead or co-lead recovery-focused groups, peer discussions, and support activities. Provide calm, professional support during stressful or crisis situations. Observe and document client progress, needs, concerns, and changes in condition. Complete progress notes, incident reports, and required documentation accurately and on time. Maintain healthy boundaries, confidentiality, and professional standards. Work closely with clinical, peer support, and operations teams. Assist with client transportation and other program needs as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent required. Certified Peer Support Specialist, PRSS, or related peer certification required. Personal lived recovery experience required. Previous experience in peer support, behavioral health, substance use treatment, mental health, recovery support, or community support preferred. Ability to obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card required. Current CPR/First Aid Certification required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred. Physical Requirements This position may require standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, driving, using office equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
