The RN is responsible for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for a group of residents. They provide care through the nursing process and collaboration with the healthcare team to meet specific population needs.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited professional nursing school and hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license. Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification and a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse are required.
The RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for prescribing, delegating and coordinating nursing care for a group of residents for a designated time frame. Care is provided to these residents via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. The RN will be competent to provide resident care according to the specific needs of the population as defined in the unit-specific addendum.
