Assists in providing nursing care to patients by collaborating with team members to maintain clinical standards of care. Supports nurses in implementing the nursing process through frequent patient contact.
Requires completion of a Nurse Aide Training Program and certification maintenance, or completion of basic nursing skills for RN/LPN students. Equivalent education in non-licensed nursing assistant duties is preferred.
1. Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF): Requires successful completion of Nurse Aide Training Program. Maintenance of certification is required. 2. RN and LPN Nursing Students: Must have completed basic nursing skills course with clinical experience within their curriculum. Post graduate LPN or RN will be eligible to work as a non licensed employee. Performing only task delegated to a non licensed nursing employee. 3. Completion of Nurse Aide Training Program or equivalent education in non licensed nursing assistant duties preferred.
