The registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care within the Cardiac Cath Lab to optimize patient health and prevent illness. Responsibilities include documenting interventions and partnering with patients and their families to alleviate suffering.
Candidates must have a valid Minnesota RN license and at least 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last 3 years. ACLS certification and the physical ability to wear lead aprons and move patients are required.
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab. This position is casual. *As a condition of this position, employees must make themselves available to work a minimum of one on-call shift every four-week scheduling period.
If you are currently in a benefit earning position and apply for this casual position you will be decreasing your current hours to casual with no benefits. Casual nurses are nurses who have no regular appointed scheduled hours (no assigned FTE). Nurses may not have a casual position and a regularly scheduled position within the same facility. Casual nurses must make themselves available to work a minimum of two (2) open 8-hour minimum length or the equivalent number of hours per four (4)-week scheduling period at straight time, a minimum of one shift must be a weekend shift. Casual nurses must also make themselves available to work two (2) of the following holiday shifts per calendar year: New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Holiday shifts must be full eight or twelve hour shifts. A minimum of one of the holidays must be a winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's).

2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab professional nursing (RN) experience within the last 3 years ACLS Certification Ability to wear lead aprons during cases and be able to stand for long periods of time and assist with moving patients including wheelchairs, beds, and carts Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
Certification in area of clinical specialty BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
