The Behavioral Health Nurse provides high-quality nursing services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders through assessments and care planning. They facilitate educational groups and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and wellness.
Candidates must hold a current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Proficiency in clinical assessment, EHR systems, and knowledge of behavioral health treatment principles are required.
Required Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills. Knowledge of behavioral health, mental health, and substance use disorder treatment principles. Experience developing and implementing nursing care plans. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable regulations and standards. Ability to work onsite at designated treatment locations.
Previous experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, addiction treatment, rehabilitation, or substance use disorder services. Experience facilitating psychoeducational or nursing-focused groups. Familiarity with EHR platforms such as Sunwave Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and recovery-oriented systems of care. Compensation Compensation is paid in accordance with the organization's payroll schedule and applicable policies. Work Environment Behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, rehabilitation, and outpatient treatment settings. Frequent interaction with individuals experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. Fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment focused on recovery and patient wellness. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift as necessary to perform nursing duties. Ability to utilize computers, medical equipment, and electronic health record systems. Ability to respond appropriately to emergency situations and patient care needs.
