The Medical Assistant supports the intake process and maintains medical records while monitoring the health of unaccompanied children. They assist in delivering primary and emergency care, preparing treatment rooms, and ensuring compliance with ORR and state licensing policies.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be a Certified Medical Assistant or hold relevant state licensure. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, and one year of experience in a clinical or community health setting is preferred.

The Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for assisting on intake process, compile, process, and maintaining medical records in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health services department. Medical Assistant will monitor Unaccompanied Children (UC) health through assessing their records, symptoms, and reactions to treatment and care. They often have extensive interaction with the UC. The Medical Assistant assists on the delivery of medical care with the emphasis on disease prevention and health maintenance while ensuring compliance with State licensing, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), and all policies and procedures implemented by CFRC.

Qualifications: Requirements
1. High school diploma or GED required. 2. Certified Medical Assistant or relevant Licensure according to state requirements required. 3. 1 year of experience in an outpatient, assisted living, hospital, or public health/community setting is preferred.
Foreign Language Requirement: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
The Medical Assistant is required to maintain a flexible, organized, and efficient work schedule and is subject to work extended hours, weekends, and be on-call.
