Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care within approved delineation of privileges under the supervision of a physician.
  • Assist supervising physician with radiologic procedures and patient management; support patient assessment and care planning.
  • Perform fluoroscopic procedures, including barium studies (upper GI series, small bowel follow-through, enemas) and assist with imaging-guided interventions.
  • Conduct joint injections under fluoroscopic or ultrasound guidance; perform paracentesis and thoracentesis with imaging support and post-procedure monitoring.
  • Place abscess drains using ultrasound or CT guidance, ensuring sterile technique and accurate positioning; perform bone marrow biopsies and biopsies with ultrasound/CT guidance.
  • Perform ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies and marker clip placement; collaborate with radiology staff to maintain efficient patient flow and safety.

Requirements

  • Active radiologic technologist license as required by state regulations.
  • Certification appropriate to interventional radiology procedures, as applicable.
  • Experience or training in interventional radiology procedures and imaging guidance (fluoroscopy and ultrasound).
  • Ability to perform invasive procedures under physician supervision (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies) and to maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting and commit to a 40-hour week on a 8x5 shift.
  • Strong patient assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
