Job Summary Under the supervision of clinical and administrative leadership, the Medical Assistant II provides comprehensive clinical and administrative support for a busy ambulatory surgery practice. Responsibilities include patient rooming and flow management, assisting with specialized surgical and diagnostic procedures, specimen handling, instrument care and sterilization, appointment coordination, inventory management, Epic documentation, and cross-coverage support. The role works closely with providers across multiple surgical specialties—including Colon & Rectal Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Plastic Surgery—to ensure high-quality patient care, efficient clinic operations, and a safe, patient-centered environment. Strong organizational skills, clinical proficiency, discretion, and the ability to work independently are essential. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Preferred Experience Direct MA experience or medical field work 1-2 years required
