Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of direct medical assistant experience. BLS certification is required, while national CMA certification and an Associate's degree in Medical Assisting are preferred.

Job Summary Under the supervision of clinical and administrative leadership, the Medical Assistant II provides comprehensive clinical and administrative support for a busy ambulatory surgery practice. Responsibilities include patient rooming and flow management, assisting with specialized surgical and diagnostic procedures, specimen handling, instrument care and sterilization, appointment coordination, inventory management, Epic documentation, and cross-coverage support. The role works closely with providers across multiple surgical specialties—including Colon & Rectal Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Plastic Surgery—to ensure high-quality patient care, efficient clinic operations, and a safe, patient-centered environment. Strong organizational skills, clinical proficiency, discretion, and the ability to work independently are essential.
