Provide therapeutic behavioral services and psychosocial interventions for Native American adults, children, and adolescents in crisis. Develop individualized support plans and facilitate evidence-based intervention techniques within homes, schools, and community settings.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or human services and two years of experience in mental health or suicide prevention. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

This position is responsible with providing therapeutic behavioral services for Washoe and American Indian/Alaskan Native adults, children and adolescents and their families with psychosocial intervention who are experiencing a stressful transition in life or life crisis jeopardizing their current living situation, school performance, legal/law enforcement involvement, and/or becoming a danger to themselves or others. · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, human services, or other health services and Two years’ experience in suicide prevention, addictive and mental health treatment, or combination of education and experience. · Preference given to qualified Native Americans.
Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications: · Knowledge of Washoe and American Indian/Alaska Native People and their history. · Knowledge of records management procedures and use of electronic health record system. · Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and regulations including established professional standards. · Knowledge of medical and psychiatric rehabilitation terminology. · Knowledge of behavioral (psychological, emotional and social) needs. · Knowledge of community resources for behavioral health related issues. · Ability to analyze problems, devise solutions, and make sound decisions. · Ability to establish and maintain cooperative/effective work relationships with participants, partners, professionals and the public. · Ability to plan, organize, and express ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. · Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner, building respect and confidence. · Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. · Skill in operating personal computer and using computer software. · Skill using basic arithmetic. The employee is frequently required to walk; occasionally is required to operate a motor vehicle, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work Environment: Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level.
