This travel assignment targets adult and geriatric med-surg patients, including higher-volume pulmonary cases, infections, oncology, some surgical cases, and end-of-life care.
Central telemetry monitoring is conducted from a remote location with EPIC charting required.
Begin 07/06/2026 for multiple weeks, nights only (3x12), with a weekly pay range of $2,007 to $2,086.

This assignment involves float within your scope of practice as directed by unit management, and orientation is provided to support clinical integration.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric med-surg patients, including those with pulmonary disease, infections, oncology needs, and post-surgical care.
- Monitor patients via central telemetry, respond to rapid responses, and participate in code team activities as needed.
- Administer medications, manage IV lines and oxygen therapy, and support non-invasive airway management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, Radiology, Urology, Transportation) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Document accurately in EPIC, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes; adhere to facility online module requirements and compliance policies.
- Participate in end-of-life care when appropriate, ensuring patient comfort and family communication.
- Float within the hospital as needed, maintaining patient safety and unit policies.
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at submission.
- Minimum 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience (2 years in med-surg or related specialty).
- Prior travel nursing experience required; references required.
- EPIC charting competency (required).
- BLS (basic life support) certification; ACLS preferred.
- Relias EKG exam completed within 72 hours of signing; onsite exam with pass threshold around 85%.
- Ability to work nights and comply with 1:5 or 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios.
- Vaccination: Flu vaccine required for flu season; exemptions evaluated per policy.
- Documentation: NY license verification, current certifications, and SSN/DOB provided at submission.
- Local radius restriction: Candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of Saratoga Springs are not accepted. Specifically excludes residents of Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, and Ulster counties.
