The student will review archived tissue blocks and verify eligibility for discard based on project criteria. They are also responsible for documenting materials and maintaining the cleanliness of archive storage areas.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma and be a UTMB student enrolled at least half time. The role requires the ability to handle materials with confidentiality and follow safety standards.
High School Diploma, UTMB Student enrolled at least half time. Job Summary: This position will be an on-campus position at the Galveston campus. Job Duties: Review archived tissue blocks according to departmental guidelines. Verify eligibility for discard based on project criteria. Accurately document reviewed and discarded materials. Assist with proper disposal of tissue blocks in accordance with safety and regulatory. Standards Maintain organization and cleanliness of archive storage areas. Handle materials with confidentiality and professionalism. MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs other related duties as required.
