Manage the intake and admission process for a psychiatric center, including triaging mental health status and coordinating with physicians. Handle insurance verification, pre-certification, and the communication of patient safety concerns to nursing staff.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school and a licensed Registered Nurse in Florida with at least one year of experience. Current CPR certification and the ability to pass a Level 2 Background Investigation are required.

Responsible for being able to perform all aspects of Central Florida Behavioral Hospital’s intake and admission process, including efficient and effective handling of inquiry calls, knowledge of and communication with referral sources; providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professionals; making outside referrals, when appropriate; assessing and triaging an individual’s mental health status; making patient safety and level of care recommendations to the CFBH physician; identifying insurance benefits, pre-certification of patient care; completing all admission requirements; communicating patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staff and documenting all necessary information in Med Series 4.
