What You’ll Be Doing As a Respiratory Therapist at Baystate, you’ll evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions under physician direction while serving as a key member of the care team.
Responsibilities include: Managing airways and ventilators across varying levels of acuity Performing diagnostic testing and interpreting results Administering respiratory therapies and pulmonary care modalities Participating in emergency response and critical care interventions Educating patients and families on treatment plans and disease management Supporting discharge planning and chronic disease management initiatives Every shift offers opportunities to apply advanced clinical decision-making while making a direct impact on patient outcomes.
