Responsibilities

• Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.
• In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit.
• Therapists are responsible for completing the following duties and tasks: Conduct psychosocial assessments to document patient history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members.
• Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans, ensuring that concise, realistic care plans are carried out.
• Provide individual, group and family process-oriented therapies as well as conduct other didactic groups using various professional treatment modalities.
• Document treatment provided to patient in medical record legibly and in a timely manner.
• Develop and coordinate an individualized discharge plan for the patient by utilizing the treatment team and chart information to determine aftercare needs.
• Identify and assess family or community resources such as group homes, or mental health practitioners to meet patient’s aftercare needs.

Qualifications

• What Does LBHH Require for this Role?
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or Social Services related field required.
• License preferred but not required.
